Frequently Asked Questions
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific, evidence - based therapy that uses positive behavioral strategies to teach new skills and encourage helpful behaviors while reducing challenging behaviors. It’s based on how people learn and can be used to support communication, social skills, independence, and daily routines. ABA is personalized to each child’s needs and helps families see meaningful progress at home, school, and in the community.
Is Anchored Behavior Services the right fit for me and my child?
We offer a free 30 minute consultation call to discuss your child’s needs. We’ll review the information from a questionnaire we will send out to you before our call, and discuss how we can best support your family. If we determine your child’s needs fall outside our scope of practice, we’ll do our best to connect you to an appropriate provider. If we’re a good fit we’ll guide you through next steps and begin the intake process.
Do you accept insurance?
Anchored Behavior Services is an out-of-network provider, but there are several ways you can use your insurance or other funding sources to cover our services. Depending on your insurance, you may be able to seek reimbursement through your plan. We also accept payments through HSA/FSA accounts, ABLE accounts, or private pay. Upon request, we will provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt of services) that you can submit to your insurance company or HSA/FSA provider for potential reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage options and out of network benefits.
I need a behavior assessment for my child. What are the costs for these assessments?
Fees for assessments are based on the time required and the complexity of the report. The more in-depth the evaluation and documentation needed, the more time it may take. For Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), we are open to discussing and adjusting the hours based on the number of target behaviors being assessed. Typically it can take 8-10 hours per assessment. If you have specific concerns about assessment costs, we encourage you to reach out so we can explore the best approach for your child’s needs.
What is the pricing for your services?
We would be happy to discuss the cost breakdown of services during your consultation call.
